Important Information:
Coulee Walk Tomorrow
We will be going on a coulee walk tomorrow morning with Elder Sa'ko ko too to learn about how the land and seasons shapes the plants and animals around us.
Please ensure students come to school with proper winter boots as students with only runners will not be able to join us. Also ensure students have mitts and toques and a pocket snack.
We will be back by noon.
Peace Assembly
We have the honour of being the first class of the school year to host a Peace Assembly. Sadly, due to covid, we are unable to welcome you to watch with us but we will be showing the assembly live on Friday morning. More instructions such as the Google Meet code will come shortly but here is some information.
1. We will email a Google Meet code to families and classes to join us
2. You will need to join between 11-11:15 and no later or a door bell noise will ring and it will interrupt the assembly. If you miss the window of time, we will post the assembly video on our blog.
This morning we continued to strengthen our story writing by coming up with ideas as a class for setting and character. The students were challenged to think of settings and characters that are exciting and interesting.
Ms. Huebner's class had Music today while Mrs. Cox's class continued with place value in math. Students were to choose a number between 100-99 999 and show how they can think "flexibly" with their number, representing it in many ways.
This afternoon we continued on our journey of choosing a country to study. Today Mrs. Cox's class took a deeper look into Madagascar and Ms. Huebner's class looked into Costa Rica as we have discovered they are quite unique and biodiverse countries with interesting species and cultural histories.
