Our Virtual Peace Assembly is tomorrow!
Mr. Strand will email families today (See Below) with a meeting code/link for parents to attend tomorrow's peace assembly. Please ensure you log on on time or it will interrupt the assembly. If you are not able to join at 11:00 we will post the video on our blog tomorrow.

Dear parents/guardians, We are excited to try out an online plan to invite you to be a part of our first Peace Assembly of the 2020-21 school year on Friday, October 23 at 11:15 AM. Mrs. Cox, Ms. Huebner, Mrs. Coulson and all of your children have been working hard to put together a Peace Assembly video that we will be sharing at this time. We are making efforts to celebrate the hard work of these learners within the constraints that we currently have. The Cox/Huebner classes will have an opportunity to come to the gym at this time to watch the premiere of their video on the big screen in the gym. As we are using a Google Meet format for this showing, parents are able to watch it at the same time and can share a positive feedback message through the chat function in Google Meet at the conclusion of the video. Please only include general, positive messages. Here are the key details about watching the Cox/Huebner Peace Assembly:
Thank you for continuing to stay connected with Eric Harvie School during a time where creating connections can be challenging. Looking forward to our first Peace Assembly of the year! Ben Strand Assistant Principal |
If for some reason the link that Mr. Stand emailed does not work, here is the "overflow" link |
This is the Meet code for the overflow, so for any people that are late or if they cannot get in because it is full. meet.google.com/gxg-vqhv-tux

Today we continued to work on planning stories by creating interesting characters, settings, problems and started writing a hook.
In math we are exploring place value and learning how to create the greatest and least values using random numbers.
This afternoon we used our classroom iPads and laptops to research animals from either Madagascar (Cox) or Costa Rica (Huebner) and discovered important facts about their animals habitat, diet, appearance and defences.
