It's hard to believe tomorrow is already Friday!
Parents, please check your email for an important message from Mr. Strand about our Pod's pick up and drop off with all the changes to the fencing. Students will need to go up the playground stairs for most of the year so the best place to drop off and pick up is likely along Tuscany Way.
Parents, please also make sure you have helped your child log onto their Google Classroom. We need to ensure you are able to do this from home should you need to go to online learning if your child becomes ill. Please email us if you did not receive your child's log in password and username (same educbe as last year but grade 3 student password have changed).
Today we continued to explore estimation with 3 strategies (first glance, chunking/grouping, and grid) see Google Classroom for more information.
The students were given a challenge to use as many contractions when writing about a topic as possible. See Google Classroom for more information. We were impressed by their writing stamina.
On this topic, we are continually impressed with our students' ability to sustain focus during read to self after lunch each day. I feel like we are interrupting them and they could continue on all afternoon.
We have begun an inquiry into countries around the Earth and today we came up with information we know about countries in general and asked big questions about Earth. See our questions in our Google Classroom!
