December 17, 2020

Here's your last blog post for 2020!

Ms. Huebner and Mrs. Cox want to thank all of the students for their exceptionally hard work during this past few months.  We have been impressed with the positive attitudes and perseverance our students have shown during this difficult time in our lives working through a pandemic.

We also want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU for all the gifts, cards, and well-wishes that came our way this week.  We are definitely feeling the love!  We wish all of our families a very joyous and safe holiday.

We had a very fun day and even managed to do quite a bit of math with arrays for the last day of school.
two of our students taught the class how to make 3 dimensional trees and we created a coulee array of trees.  If you aren't sure what an array is, ask your child to explain it to you.

We also talked quite a bit about what our week of online learning will look like from January 5-8.  All students and families will receive a schedule with their class times.  It will be very different than it was in the spring as students are expected to be online with their class during the school day and complete all the assigned tasks and join our Google meets at the specific time.  We will be taking attendance each morning and after lunch each day.  We would appreciate it if you could ensure you are able to log on to your Google Classroom using the student @educbe account before the 5th so we can do any troubleshooting before we begin our week of online learning.

Your child has brought home a green folder with a journal, pencil, graphing paper and white paper.  They also each brought home some Home Reading books.  These are to be used during our week of online learning so please do not use the paper and journals for doodling!  We do need the Home Reading books to be returned once we are back in class.
