January 12, 2021


Today was a day of inquiry!  

Math...
We worked through a Mystery Challenge where students were asked to use numbers, pictures/symbols, and words to show their thinking.  We were excited to hear all the ways students saw the design.
We are working toward using multiplication statements to represent our thinking.  Such as 2 groups of 6 and 2 groups of 4 can be represented as 2 X 6 and 2 X 4 






We are also inquiring into a variety of structures and exploring different bridge designs based on the purpose or gap that the bridge is spanning.

We have begun a building project where we will build model bridges to go over the water.  Students designed their land to have water of varying widths in to help students understand the structures that will span different lengths.
