This morning we came into class early as it was another "Blue Day".  Mrs. Cox's class was dressed for the weather so we did go out for a quick bit of fresh air and exercise for our morning break though.

We came into the class to a challenge on the whiteboard.  We are starting to look for "Multiples".  Out of these numbers, which doesn't belong: 9, 99, 36, 123.  Some students suggested 36 because it is the only even number.  Some suggest 123 because if you are counting by 9's you don't land on it.  Some said all belong because if you are counting by 3's you land on them all.  This started our conversation of looking for multiples and counting by 3's.  The grade 3 students are asked to be able to automatically and quickly count by 3's up to 30 and the grade 4's were challenged to count by 6's up to 60.  Keep practicing this at home!

Read to self in the Hub/Learning Commons so we can also have a mask break if we are distanced enough.

We are starting to get a bit more particular about planning and designing our structures before we start to build.  Today they needed to add step by step procedures as if someone else would be building based on their instructions.  This way we can see their thinking process and students can more easily reflect and revise.

This morning Mrs. Cox's class was working on building "Triple Scoop" sentences while Ms. Huebner's class was in Music.  Here are some sentences on the subject of "snowflakes".  They were asked to use a triple scoop word to describe the snowflake, give it an action and a sound.
