Sept. 1 First Day of School!

Reminders:

No School tomorrow for grade 3/4

See you Thursday

Please ensure students have their own water bottle each day

We had a wonderful first day of school.  It was so great to see all of the kids and get know one another.  There were a lot of new rules and procedures to go over but we were so impressed with the students’ willingness to listen through it and work hard to learn this new reality.

The students should have taken home 2 new masks that were provided for our school.

Today we read our new peace book, "We Learn from the Sun" by David Bouchard.  We then did an OWL "Observations, Wonderments, and Learnings" about the sun.

Here are some reflections from the students today:

Edin - I like that our book bins have cases with our own masks and they have our names on already.

Kian - I'm happy that I get to see all my friends and teachers and I get to make new friends.

Preston - I liked drawing.

Paige - We went out and we learned about the sun and made facts about the sun and it was hot.

Aureilya - I loved recess and all the new kids.

Sebastien - I liked that I got to go to school and learn.

I really like today because it was the first day of school and it was really fun.
