Monday February 22, 2021

Our first walk is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 25

We will be planning to go into the coulee a number of times over the next few weeks to study animal-made structures and work on a poetry project.  We will likely leave before the lunch hour is over so that we can get further into the coulee and have time to work on our projects.

Students who are not dressed with proper winter clothing will need to stay back at the school to ensure they are safe from frost bite.

We will not allow students wearing only running shoes and students without warm gloves or mittens to come with us and they will need to stay at the office as they can't join other classes at this time.

Pink Shirt Day is on Wednesday

Scholastic Book Fair is Coming!

We started our day with shape math. Each shape had a value and we worked to decipher the code! We then went on a shape scavenger hunt throughout the school and learned about faces, edges and verticies. We compared 3D and 2D shapes and then we created a chart to represent the characteristics of each. We worked on our observation skills in our "Who Dunnit?" activity. Looking for clues, we began to discover what animals left behind or built in the coulee.
