Please take time with your child to read through his or her report card.  We hope you will discuss all of the growth your child has made and set some goals for moving forward.

This morning in math, we were looking at making equal groups or equal sharing and what happens if there are some left over (remaining).  Students chose a number to start with and then made 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 equal groups.  They recognized that sometimes it worked out perfectly and all items were used up and sometimes there was a remainder.

We are continuing to use the coulee as our inspiration for writing poetry.  Today we listened to some poetry and made a list of all the ways poetry is different than a story or a paragraph.

The teachers are sure going to be tired today!  Getting the students their supplies for their bridge designs was not an easy task but they are working away now!  It was quite a difficult challenge for the students and they have had to go back to revise their work a number of times and have conversations about what works well and which shapes are the strongest.

Here are a few more photos from yesterday's outdoor play day
