NO SCHOOL MONDAY FEBRUARY 15, 2021 – FAMILY DAY HOLIDAY
WEDNESDAY IS PINK & RED DAY – CELEBRATING VALENTINE’S DAY!
During these pandemic days, we will be celebrating Valentine’s Day quite differently. Children are invited to wear pink & red clothing on Wednesday, February 10/21. We will also be buddying up virtually across the classes to share time together – the BEST Valentine’s Day gift! We are also building a visual wall of best wishes on sticky notes in the Hub that we will share photos of next week. Additionally, our Peace Ambassadors – and any other interested students – will be creating and sharing Valentine’s Day cards with our Senior friends at the Seniors’ Complex at Varsity Village Manor to be delivered and shared when safe. We are excited about these news ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day – even though we don’t appreciate the reason for the changes all that much!!
EARTH RANGERS PRESENTATION WAS TODAY!
Earth Rangers is an award-winning Kids’ Conservation Organization established almost twenty years ago to support children with understanding environmental issues in a positive way that will encourage taking small steps to help the planet be healthier. It is correlated to Science curricula and complements a peace education approach to changing the world for better through positive small actions that collectively generate significant impact for humans and the planet. This is our first presentation from the group and we are excited to share in this new venture for our school!

Our annual yearbook is under production and sales are now open! All sales this year must be made online with delivery in early September, 2021. Although it has certainly been a very different year of learning, there is much to celebrate and remember from this vastly different school year – the Yearbook Committee is working hard to document and record the amazing experiences and milestones of students’ in pictures that will be unforgettable for this generation of children. We encourage you to celebrate this extraordinary year of learning with the purchase of our annual 2020-21 Eric Harvie School Yearbook!
