Reminder that Friday October 9th is a PD Day and Monday October 12th is a holiday! There is is no school on these days!
We worked on our book zap poster projects. We are learning how to summarize and retell what we read. In our non-fiction books we searched for 3 BIG IDEAS to retell the facts and in our fiction books we focused on beginning, middle and end. Here is a peek at our work in progress...
In preparing to learn about the ripple effect and how our actions affect others, we continued our conversation about ways we can create and promote peace in our friendships. We read the story What Matters by Alison Hughes and Holly Hatam and we learned that small actions can have a big impact!
We continued working on our animal collages and really focused on detail and noticing and/or questioning what adaptations our animal might have!
